About Us

Meet the Founder of The Get Fab Editing Group

Hello there! Thanks for stopping by to check us out. A little about me:

My name is Otito Iwuchukwu and I am a Nigerian-American who has walked through professional systems not built for foreigners. And I rebuilt my professional identity along the way. Trained as a healthcare professional and migrating to America with credentials that were not fully recognized meant that I needed to update them to fit in.

I am an editor, publishing consultant and two-time author, who has had to prove myself twice, once in my field, and again in my journey of belonging. All my experiences showed me without a doubt that words matter and “finely polished words” are a pathway to professional success.

Because I kept meeting brilliant immigrant professionals: doctors, nurses, entrepreneurs, academics, and parents like me with stories of resilience, courage and credibility. Professionals with the expertise and technical know-how of their fields, but with little clue about the publishing and professional advancement landscape. These professionals need someone who understands both the technical excellence required and the cultural translation necessary to have their words resonate and make impact in the way they desire. Because the way our stories are presented can make the difference between a “yes” and a dreaded “no” or “not yet.”

This is where I come in.
I founded Get Fab Editing because I believe words matter and the right words should be fit for purpose.
